The news reporter who had a dig at the BBC as he resigned

I remember seeing a video on YouTube of who I recall was presenting a local BBC news report and was signing off after his last day. As he did he took a swipe at the BBC by saying something along the lines of the corporation being run by giants when he first joined, and as he left it was being run by people in suits not knowing what they're doing.

I've forgotten the name of the chap and searching through feeble keywords on YouTube has proved unsuccessful. If anybody can remind me of his name or point me in the direction of the video, it'd be greatly appreciated.

Shamelessly stolen from my Twitter timeline but why not post it here. Alan Towers resigns from Midlands Today, 1997.
