So I've been trying to track down the music used as the theme for LWT's 30 Years of Laughter programme. It's also been used in a more tongue-in-cheek style on the likes of Brainiac and Never Mind the Buzzcocks.

I'm pretty confident this is a library piece, so if somebody could merely give me a name or point me in the direction of a label to look for, that'd be much appreciated.

it was by David Mindel and was the theme IIRC to Winner Takes All and this was from the 5th September not the 8th August as it says on the title

Thanks for your post but maybe you should send the information about the wrong date to the YouTube uploader? It's not my video! And it sounds nothing like Winner Takes All, ukgameshows.com says WTA used a piece called Joy Ride, originally anyway.

Challenge had a bash at the format in 1997 with Bobby Davro which had a horrible sounding theme, presumably this is more library music:

ADC TV Collection / oliver gets his dates from Teletext service which can be incorrect at times. Happened once on a STV video. Even the 1988 daytime version does not use this library piece either.
