Sorry for the delayed response, but I've just only seen this topic.
The song is by Slade (you know, the group that were responsible for Merry Christmas Everybody that gets played to death in shops every Xmas?
) and it's called "Coz I Luv You".
It's always been used in the Transit adverts as far as I am aware, even for the one a few years back with the "Backbone of Britain" tagline.
