I've been a member here for about 40 years, and every few years or so I make the same pitiful request, as I believe they're out there somewhere. If anyone has the headline and coming up beds from George Fenton's incredible BBC Six O'Clock package for 1993-99 I'd be ever so grateful! I used to contribute things too, honest.
judin and Alfie Mulcahy gave kudos

Well today's your lucky day sir.

For 4 decades of hurt, you owe me a tenner. Wink

Oh goodness me, I don't think that's every been posted in the history of this forum! Thank you. If you have delights such as that, it's unlikely I'm going to be able to offer anything of use to you sadly!

I note that the main bed at the start of that is 53 seconds long (and has orchestrated end, so suggests it is its full length) - played out after opening story head admittedly - but that length wouldn't cover one headline on the Six today! Smile

That is quite an orchestral piece, great work. What is more elusive though is George Fenton's theme from the 1981 'Chinese lantern' era

As a child, I used to sing the following along to the Six O’Clock News 1993 headlines bed:
“News, it’s the news, it’s the Six O’Clock News, it’s the Six O’Clock News, it’s the news, it’s the Six O’Clock News, it’s the Six O’Clock News...”

I’ll get my coat.
