Doctor Who

Does anyone know if the following Doctor Who themes were every commerically available, if so what albums where they on please:

Patrick Trougton Theme - 1967-1969
Jon Pertwee/Tom Baker Theme - 1970-1980
Sylvester McCoy Theme - 1987-1989

Any help greatly appreciated

Is that the reason why most TV items on Doctor Who tend to use the 1980 Peter Howell version, as I've got it on a BBC themes cd, as I don't remember other versions ever being released?

all three did get put out in CD!

Well I only knew to the one!!!

There is an LP/Cassette around somewhere called 'Doctor Who - The Music' which has all versions of the theme on, but I don't think it ever got released on CD.

There is a new Doctor Who CD being released next year which is said to feature a number of the theme tunes, and 'Doctorin' the TARDIS' which has long been deleted!

The 25th anniversary album featured all themes up until that point - that was released on CD although I don't know how available it is now!

Look for the series "Doctor Who at the Radiophonic Workshop". That's the only series of CDs that are currently available. They've got all versions of the theme (TV edits & record releases) up until Peter Howell's 1980 version.

Mark Ayres of the Doctor Who Restoration Team has plans to cover the rest of the series, but that's in the hands of the BBC to decide upon - www.markayres.co.uk
