This is a request for opinions. I was just wondering, they have their local radio, but would an exclusive TV channel for the Channel Islands work? Like 'Made in ...' but under the name CTV? Your views?
My personal view would be that it wouldn't really work. That said, I never have much faith in local TV channels as while in theory they are a good idea, they rarely work in practice in today's technology-focused world.
I don't really think that there would be that much of a market and the cost involved in setting up an entire television channel, such as building costs, cameras, lighting, staff among many other things. It would probably be better (and cheaper) to set up a YouTube channel about the Channel Islands - it would be considerably cheaper and likely more successful!
In short, I highly doubt it would work (or be successful in the long term) but that's not stopped others from giving it a go.
