Everyone might or might not remember the old 4 in a square logo from 1999. So, I thought about bringing back this somewhat "iconic" ident!
I have thought of 7 examples!
Market: We pan through various market scenes when we see some apples arranged in a square shape with 1 missing. The last apple is then placed in the square and then, there is a flash and a white square appears and the familiar C4 logo fades in.
Sheep: Same as before but instead of various market scenes, we see a Sheepdog rounding up some sheep into the same square shape. The last sheep joins in and just as before, the square and 4 appear.
Selfie: it consists of people at a party taking selfies and when the camera on the person's phone flashes, the C4 Square appears.
Coaster: In a pub, we see someone having a pint, then we see a shot of the glass, they lift it up and the 4 appears as if it is on the coaster.
Shopping Bag: We see shots of people doing some shopping (Imagine this ident playing before a programme like Supershoppers) items are then scanned at a till and we hear 4 beeps! (Which are meant to be the Fourscore), a shopping bag has the 4 in a Square logo on it in black which then flashes to become white and be more in the centre of the screen.
News: We see either Jon Snow, Krishnan Guru-Murthy, Kathy Newman, Matt Frei or Jackie Long preparing to go live for the news as we are looking at them through a monitor in the gallery and as someone passes the camera, the C4 Square logo appears.
