I know this isn't strictly a television realted request, but I just wondered if anyone could help me out with a good quality sound of Big Ben's bongs. I need it for a college project, so any help would be appreciated Very Happy Thanks

I'm afraid I don't, sorry.

Download something like Audacity (which is free) and cut up the audio clip to create the quarters. If I get time later I'll have a go for you.

P.S. if you use Audacity you will also need to download something like Lame (also free) to encode the clip as a WAV or MP3 file.

From Wikipedia:

Quote:
The Quarter Bells play a 20-chime sequence, 1–4 at quarter past, 5–12 at half past, 13–20 and 1–4 at quarter to, and 5–20 on the hour (which sounds 25 seconds before the main bell tolls the hour).

Chimes 5–20 are in the file, but we're missing 1–4 unfortunately.
