BBC Two "2" font?

I'm looking for the "2" from before the Windows. Is it a font or is it custom?

It's a slightly modified version of a freely available font, but the name escapes me I'm afraid. Somebody on here is bound to know it though.

It's a version of Gill Sans, it's ultrabold with an extended lower half.

Try this. Think I got it from The TV Room Plus once upon a time.

It's a modified version of Gill Sans Bold. The vector version is freely available, and as Michael mentioned, you can get it in a font too

Probably worth pointing out that "freely available" is not the same as "available free" - the font and the logo are both copyrighted so be careful about asking for copies. The font still sells for significant sums of money.

Thanks for all the help. Now that I look at it, the 2 looks very stark and unique without anything else around it. The BBC hopefully won't screw it up like they do with a lot of things...
