Hello, I'm interested in doing something similar to this BBC News promo from 2008:

My idea would be filming each actor individually on the greenscreen and place them in a 3D space (with fake camera movements of course) in AE and since they're far from the talking actor at the end, they're not clearly visible during the initial part of the "camera moving up and tilting down" so prospective isn't very important for them. Thus, I don't need to film the "camera moving up and tilting down" part for them. I guess that faking the movement in post will be good enough.
The main problem is how to film the actor at the end with the real camera movement (a crane I guess?) and mix it up with the fake camera movement going up.

Can anybody help me into figuring out how to do this?
Sorry for the long question and I hope it was clear enough (english is not my main language).

Thanks

Use a minijib on th main actor and do their entire shot on the green screen (including the move) then bring the others in and parent them to a 3d null which you can match against the the real camera move.

Thanks. So you're suggesting to do the moving shot only on the main actor and link the others to the camera movement right?

Exactly.

Nice, you made it sound so easy! Thanks. I really liked that glow effect, the lighs and the cameras in the virtual studio but I can't design a 3d space as good as that. Who knows if those were pre-made assets or they created them...

To be honest it looks like a very simple version of the 1999/2002 branding, some pulsing rings, few random red globs and spheres.

Not that easy for me, I'm not an AE pro like you Smile
