The 1986 theme was a low-pitched version of the 1980 one. I got excited there as well. Found out that you looped them from YouTube. I originally have the 1997 and 1999 Newsnight packages but I lost it, so if someone have any, you can share it here. Smile

EDIT: The 1983 one had a first version before the one you uploaded was aired, and it's on TV Ark.

Hi Lee, the opening listed was originally part of the 2001 LDN mix, but was never actually used by BBC London, instead being picked up by other regions - I can provide the BBC LDN open too, if you wish!

I would be very glad to hear the LDN version! Smile

I see, it's ok. Thanks a lot! Very Happy

EDIT: DTV, here's the 1997 open my friend recorded the same day:

Newsnight - 1997

I don't know if this was posted on the forum, but does anyone have the 1999 National News vamp?

May I ask if who's the composer of the 80s Breakfast Time (1985), One, Six and Nine?

George Fenton.

George Fenton?? Wow! The king of the Newsnight themes, yes. Been listening to his Nine O'Clock News music, it's awesome.

BTW, I don't have any from BBC World 2002 so if someone have any, you can share it here if you want, thanks.

Not really a 'Master' as such, if it was the proper Master then it would be in WAV format as most DAW tracks get exported into WAV format.

I see. I'll convert it into WAV and will see if it's different from mp3. Smile

Converting from MP3 to WAV will do absolutely nothing. Once a WAV is converted to MP3, the audio has been compressed and that's that. You can't reclaim lost data.

I have the WAV one emailed to me by someone few weeks ago, and I'll upload it soon. No problem! Smile

EDIT: And please go back to the topic, thanks. Very Happy
