I don't understand this whole nonsense - the BBC haven't used closing music on most of the bulletins for yonks, and the weekend news bulletins which do have closes, used to use the file you've labelled 'National Close Tag' didn't they - and now use the 'National Close Sting'?

No I can't make head nor tail of it either...Daniel you seem to be on a mission to prove that you are right and that everyone else including the BBC are wrong.
I'm not saying they are wrong...I'm saying they are using a close that was originally for World News, obviously it was a choice rather than a mistake.
How do you know it was a close for World? Who actually from the BBC told you that, or David Lowe for that reason? You could be utterly and completely wrong...
As a side note, I'm glad that there is some description into the differences. I received the 2007 package some time ago, and the only metadata it was as "Track XX". I'm working my way through naming the tracks, but its so damn hard!
EDIT: Oh, and can someone share the metadata of the 2007 collection. Not the MP3's if possible please Thanks
