BBC News January-April 2008

Just wondering, does anyone have any caps of TC7 when used for the Six & Ten whilst N6 was being refurbished? I've never seen any of it before and it'd be interesting to see, if anyone does have any.

Likewise, does anyone have caps/videos of N6 during January 2008 just before it was taken out of service?

I thought N6 was still in service and it was N9 that was refurbed? It's rather confusing.

N6 was refurbished - that's the News Channel's studio now. Doesn't look like they did much apart from new lights and new desk because most of the work was in the gallery to update it to be able to cope with running the channel.

At that time the six and ten came from TC7, the one from N8 (News 24's "studio", now home to BBC World News). N9 was BBC World's old studio. Then when N6 was finished the News Channel moved in and N8 was given a revamp (adding Barcos and adding etched globes on the 'glass'). BBC World News then moved into N8 in the summer and N9 was given a revamp but mothballed, i.e only used when needed such as European elections or when N6 had some work done last Christmas.

Hope that clears it up. It is confusing though.
