BBC N24 Breaking News Sting

Is this still actually used on-screen? I haven't seen it for years!

Is the breaking news music still used? I havent heard that, or the exploding globe.. That was quite good acutally.

Occasionally, although normally the news breaks by the breaking news strap just coming up.

I think they should always use it, during reports or whatever, it's not that much of a distraction.

It occasionally appears but only when the presenter is actually talking when it breaks.

Looking at that video, doesn't News 24 look so much better without a ticker on the bottom?

They used it yesterday or the day before to break the news onscreen that a fresh inquest would begin into that girls death that died from an overdose in a hostel?

They were talking about something else at the time.

Definately. I think the ticker was originally only ment for special occasions, such as breaking news or business news, and then they used it for the election in May 2005, and it has stuck ever since.

I'm not sure though I wouldn't mind the clean music if anyone has it please.
