Hi there,
I'm trying to get hold of the Band Aid 2 single from 1989 - featuring Kylie, Jason, Cliff Richard, Chris Rea, Bros, Sonia and co.
I kind find it anywhere - it's not on itunes or Napter. I simply want to play it occasionally on a radio station - we have the original Band Aid song and of course the Band Aid 20 version too.
I've tried scanning the music TV channels on Sky this weekend - I thought I was onto a winner with the "20 Years Of Christmas Number Ones" type of show. I thought I could Sky+ and lift the audio, but each time they show it - they chop the beginning off and cut it at the end AND it's even got Michael Buerk reporting from Africa. I could possibly edit the Michael Buerk bit out - but loosing the beginning and end makes it pointless.
Someone, somewhere, must have this - on CD perhaps, if there's anyway of getting it via mp3 would be fab.
At the radio station, we're trying to widen our selection of Christmas songs - and we're adding all sorts (Andy Williams, Bing Crosby, Dean Martin, Spice Girls - all the classics!). I'd like to add Band Aid 2 - of the 3 versions it probably is the cheesiest, but it is there in musical history so I think it's worth playing.
