So I have been playing around in Viz Artist earlier today running on a PC (without the viz H/W). I have been trying to get to grips with some basic configuration and toying around. I have used the Jack plugin to display a clock in 24hr format.

*

I have tried to render out a short video but even with the config set to 1080p 60 Hz, and 1920 x 1080 for the width and height of the output - It always renders distorted at 720 x 288!

*

I know there are some actual professionals here who may be able to tell me where I am going wrong with this, and if it is possible to get these scenes rendered out at full 1080p res - help me to figure it out.

Here is the video - https://onedrive.live.com/redir?resid=a6b3a3205f985f97%21211090

A quick Google reveals a surprising number of video tutorials for Viz Artist. Without wanting to state the obvious, have you watched any of them? Copying a tutorial video might be a good way of ascertaining whether the problem is a mistake you've made or a deeper problem.

I have done, and I am starting to suspect that the Post > VideoRenderer is not capable of rendering directly to a 1080p video - without some kind of accompanying software like Viz Trio. But it is industry software, so it is very likely the chance I am not understanding some config options, and TV Forum has a few insiders here who may have some experience.
