Wasn't that deleted after the 4th Jan 2003 server reset?
I think by that point we were using the database version of Ikonboard, and the original file-based topics hadn't ever been converted over.
I have got a lot of those original threads lying around and will get around to properly archiving them one day.
The 9/11 thread is available at http://www.tvforum.co.uk/cgi-bin/archive.cgi?file=sept11 (-7hrs for the post times) Interesting seeing how it all panned out that day in the eyes of TV Forumers.
Here's a couple of others I've quickly dug out...
Look North and Calendar - Aug 2001 onwards
BBC One "New look Rhythm and Movement" idents, bye balloon!
One of many BBC News design changes! Dec 2001!

Jesus, posts from when I was 12 years old!
'confreance' indeed. I remember racking up an absolutely massive phone bill that day as I spent loads of it on the TV Forum chatroom, this in the days of 56k dialup that was more expensive before 6pm.
I like the post that wonders if The People Versus has been cancelled.

I noticed that,an ITV1 logo on a black background after the Crossroads ad break with a 'We interrupt this program to bring you a special report from the ITV news centre.' And then no music for a while as Kirsty Young was wearing black:I thought The Queen Mother had died!
BBC Two are showing the confreance,Channel 4 don't care and are showing a black and white film.......

I came across a video on Youtube about Bush lying saying he was sitting outside the classroom (were he'd later read) and saying he saw the first attack on television. A man then explains that footage of the first attack didn't surface until September 12th, proving how Bush lied.
I know this was a while ago now, but I'm sure I remember that footage being aired on that day. Is my mind playing tricks on me or was that reporter as stupid as Bush?

Well Bush could, and probably meant the second attack, as that was sort of the first one we had seen. The footage of the first plane attack was filmed by firefighters doing some maintainence work some blocks away if memory serves me right. Not sure when it was first aired on tv though.

Interesting read 7 years on - how everything came across on TV and how viewers reacted to it. I doubt if there's any way to see the images people had posted ...?
