I think I posted this before some weeks ago but I did a search and couldnt find any.

Anyway, does anyone have any of the 1990s BBC 1 globe idents music (they used about four or five different themes, sometimes with each one have a very subtle variation) or any of the BBC 2 1990s idents music in clean form please?

Low-quality samples with speech can be found at:

http://www.tv-ark.org.uk/bbc1national/bbc1national1990s.html
http://www.tv-ark.org.uk/bbc2national/bbc2national1990s.html

for those who need reminding Smile

Thanks for your time and efforts.

There were 20 variations of the Balloon theme at last count, the idents were created by 'brand identity expert' Martin Lambie-Nairn. The music is unavailable but there are a few more .rm files about on various TVsites if you look hard enough Wink

I do actually have a clean MP3 of one theme, but its not so good quality and only short. If ANYONE knows where to get the others, Id be most grateful.

Thank you Very Happy

Does anyone know who composed the music for these idents?

BBC 2 90's: I only have the audio for Water, the original version of Garden, Shadow, Christmas 1995, English, and Diary. None of them are great quality though.

I have versions of Paint, Powder, and Car, but they are nowhere near complete.

Probably about a year ago, there were rm files of the following BBC 2 90's Idents which were either announcerless or had a lot of clear time:

Balloon
Optic (was from TV Home, I believe)
Firecracker

Surely someone has still got them?

BBC 2 '91-'97 Idents (Introduced 1991) - * (Stereo) indicates track is in correct stereo; *NEW* denotes an addition to the original post

The below ident soundtracks are incomplete, but announcerless:

English - This is pretty much all there is to the soundtrack

Silk

Xmas 1997 Version 2

Optics

Paint (also used for A Taste of Japan ; One World Idents) (Stereo)

Dog (Stereo)

Powder (also used for the 30th Anniversary Ident) (Stereo)

Car (Stereo)

Zapper *NEW* (Stereo; Amplified)

The following ident soundtracks are complete, albeit not all good quality:

Garden (Original)

Xmas 1995 - Note the Neon Sign ident music in the background

Water

Diary

Shadow (Stereo)

Crime & Punishment *NEW* (Like English , the soundtrack is a few seconds - the ident itself runs for :30)

Star Trek Night *NEW* (Note the very short length; was this originally intended as just a sting?)

If anyone has clear Balloon (the Silver 2 Helium Balloon) and Firecracker rm files, it would be much appreciated.
