Technically, this is not mocking, but since there is no other place either for this kind of threads, I decided to put it here.

I recently did a news report on the opening of a light rail system in Phoenix, AZ (where I live), and I want to know what you guys think about it (quality, faults, errors, gremlins, etc). Please be merciless, and be honest.

Thanks! The report is here, on YouTube

Thanks in advance!

Marking on your voice delivery alone, it's improved dramatically since your last report. You no longer sound like you're anchoring the Web video division of the Gay Times , and your diction is a lot better. The location insert was the best bit as far as diction went: now just work on improving your consistency.

I would say that occasionally the voiceover sounds a little tinny, but this is probably due to either (a) recording environment and/or (b) compression artefacts. Try adjusting it by putting the bass a little higher - this is a post-prod. technique that you need to do in an audio editing program such as Audacity, GarageBand or Soundtrack.

I'm impressed by the coverage: it was well-rounded, and the vox-pops didn't seem overdone (i.e. it wasn't a breathless, Fox News style) and the delivery perfectly suited the subject matter. You didn't overplay the fact that it was, essentially, the opening of a tram service.

Very impressive for an amateur journalist, and a marked improvement on your previous reports, so it's a 4/5 from me.

I tend to agree with Jonathan - much better than past reports from you, and the style of your voice is improving. I would say that you might have wanted to get a wider range of demographics in the vox pops, but on the whole, it's executed very well.
