I think about how Americans cope with UK chat shows like Jonathan Ross and Graham Norton. Sure, they've got a face recognisable on both sides of the pond on the sofa, yet some that Americans would have no idea about. How many Americans know Louie Spence and Harry Hill?
I've sat and watched full episodes of Craig Ferguson and, as with most of his guests, very little of the interview is about who they are and what they do. A lot of it is simply chat and banter. There's an interview with Billy Connolly and there is only a brief moment where he talks about a film he's in. The rest is Craig and Billy talking about things in Scotland and Billy being hilarious.
The problem with his great show is half the guest on his show, Will I and I DARE say many others will have no idea who there are, I think the best idea would be to have 2 mix bag show which included the best of all the weeks shows.
