Yorkshire and Calendar from 1982 springs to mind.

It's also of note how on TVS their ident music and regional news theme was one and the same. Did anyone else do this?

Yorkshire's start up was an extended version of the Calendar theme at one time, after start ups were dropped they often used it behind the menu rundown in the opening junction.

A bit of behind the scenes Broomcupboard action with Andi Peters walking to Pres A to join Phillipa Forrester

Here’s a unique one, about 20 minutes of ITV Telethon ‘88 from 1:30am, with no sign of the rowdiness dying down.

Given how much Telethon was supposed to be a network effort with everyone pitching in, I'm surprised that the LWT branded set didn't raise eyebrows from the rest of the network. Was it a recycled set from another show?

Presumably a library track.

that's exactly what I was thinking and also the full telethon theme is now on TVARK and also how did you know the runway theme is the same as the original theme to first report?

A 1998 episode of Top of the Pops, the first performance from Fat Les starting in Albert Square before moving onto the TOTP stage. Also Jamie Theakston with surprise facial hair.

I also remember the same thing happening in a previous TOTP from earlier in the 98 world cup

Because it’s the same tune as the clip of the First Report titles with the green hands........ “let’s grab this tune off the shelf for our daytime light entertainment show, what’s that you say, it was the lunchtime news theme for a decade, nay matter, no one will notice until 2020”

It's not branded set, it's just red white and blue the colourscheme of the Telethon logo.

It is true though that a lot of LWT shows had red white and blue colour themes... even when their logo was orange white and blue

That TVS junction is quite messy, jumping between trailers, the start up routine, more trailers, weather, continuity, more trailers

It is, there's absolutely no structure or logic to it at all. It looks like they were given that 5 minute slot at the start of the day and had no idea wehat to fill it with. Other regions had news then?

It also goes to show how that junction changed. That was the start of ITV's daytime hours, a few years later it was very quick, full of detail and efficient - 20 seconds for an ident, This Morning trail, Time The Place trail, This Morning again then quiz. All wrapped up in a couple of minutes

The full 6½ hours of 1994's BBC Children in Need appeal night with North West opts. Probably the last year it was a grand affair before Gaby Roslin joined the presenting team the year after, who herself features throughout the evening as a guest.

Roland Rat on Good Morning with Anne and Nick, and Jimmy Greaves. Basically a TV-am reunion, with a discussion of the then new and almost dying GMTV.

An edition of SMTV live from the 22nd December 2001. The titles of Chums have been updated to remove Ant and Dec and the footage of Cat at the fountain looks like it was recorded back 1999.
