And not a Z-lister/ex-reality TV star in sight. How young does Nicholas Owen look?! Shocked

You've clearly missed the point of this thread, albeit a worthless video anyway. Show me a clip of Cheryl Cole being set on fire and you get my vote.

This is a bit of a weird one but this bloke runs a site similar to Wikileaks and was invited for interviews at the New York bureaus of the BBC and Russia Today. For whatever reason he decided to tape literally everything while he was in there giving an interesting look inside their newsrooms.

BBC News:

Some interesting little tidbits in this like the white board with what I assume are extension numbers for some BBC radio and TV news programmes.

RT:

Not a fantastic set-up for RT then!

I can't help but feel we shouldn't be allowed to watch either of these! Very Happy

I know it's not YouTube but here's Martin Lambie Nairn talking about the BBC re-brand in 1997 including some internal communications stuff...

Fantastic, thanks for the link. Although I do wonder if it's all about to come full circle, as each rebrand sees another non-uniform logo introduced.

Irony ahoy regarding the channel controllers' wish to move away from the strip look though:

"So I thought I'd better do it, in case someone does something horrid... so I put them in a box." Razz

Interesting that the 1997 CBBC idents were in widescreen, I always thought that the sped up/zoomed in ones used from late-2001 to 2002 were introduced because the previous idents were made in 4:3 and CBBC went widescreen at the same time.
