Tyne Tees Look North (North East)
A look at the LWT presentation area in early 1993, just after Carlton moved in - thanks to Trish Bertram’s channel:

There seems to be some sort of talkback from Studio 7 that was in both Trish’s and the TC’s earpiece that they don’t seem too happy about!

There seems to be some sort of talkback from Studio 7 that was in both Trish’s and the TC’s earpiece that they don’t seem too happy about!

It was because the PA in studio 7 spoke loudly on the talkback during the junction including just as Trish was about to do an announcement. As her and the TC say they didn't seem aware that they are in a junction and they have other things to deal with than just the studio. It's also a breech of talkback etiquette, you're meant to say 'studio 7 to pres' and then wait to be answered, not just blurt out what you have to say. Not only is that interrupting whatever you're doing but also they will assume you've heard it when you probably haven't.

Of course if there was a sudden emergency that meant the programme couldn't go to air then shouting through like that is appropriate

I don't think the TB from the studio will have been in Trish's headphones, but the TC was presumably on open talkback to her and she'd have heard the studio via his speakers through that. She's listening for her out cue in the previous item and the studio PA is shouting through to tell him that their VT clock goes all the way to zero (normally they go to black at - 3). That's the sort of thing that should have been mentioned earlier, if the TC was doing a mix into it then its a bit late to go changing the automation.

I assume the '1 minute check' was an established routine but not then to go on talking

Day 17 of LNN of course so early days, presumably they got better

Mr Bean appears on Going Live in 1991 demonstrating TV camera fixing and Polarid skills:

Later in the same episode at the guest Q&A session, answering why he never became a Cub Scout and what he wants for Christmas (I presume this is all non-canonical of course):

At least Rowan Atkinson didn't milk his character to the nth degree and shove it down our throats which is what effectively happened with Mr Blobby once he became bigger than the House Party.

At the start of this clip there is clearly another announcer over the Budget '92 slide, but Andi is in the Broom Cupboard (with a brief shot of him before the CBBC ident). Was the first announcer live in another continuity suite or was it recorded and being played out in Andi's continuity suite?

Andi in the days he knew a bit about technology, unlike nowadays when he thinks you buy podcasts in a shop:

Moyles revealed that people who worked for the company he was promoting were sitting in the green room listening to the show… that must have been an awkward conversation afterwards!
