Launch of The Family Channel UK... warning, contains Darren Day

What was Darren Day’s role in this. Did he present a preview show?

I presumed he was one of the presenters who did the links on The Family Channel?

I didn’t realise that they had links. Was it all IVC or only during prime time?

The Family Channel was far better then the current Challenge they had access to the TVS archive produced their own stuff, nice idents and presentation as well, it felt like watching TVS but in the disguise of the Family Channel.

Early Challenge also had access to TVS stuff, until 2000, so someone must have had 4 year contract. I still will never understand why Flextech never brought some of the programmes when it took full control.

High quality footage too, presumably from master tapes. In fact that whole twitter account has loads of TVS clips clearly from master footage, including supposedly "wiped" stuff like the later series of Fraggle Rock.

One of Southern's less successful efforts, 'Waving', which only lasted one series after the writers ran out of ideas for locations to put the characters in.
