Hardly surprising as a clock was added IIRC the following year and was later followed by a permanent Sky logo which evolved with the 1995 Tombstone look.

From 1989 and the first 67 odd seconds, either the studio was really really small or the newscaster shots were very very tight:

There is the full 22 minutes of the first ever Sky News broadcast on the Sky News YouTube channel but its horribly cropped with the modern logo slapped on it.

At least that's in 4:3, because Sky themselves uploaded the first 22 minutes of Sky News- cropped to 16:9

Though even the version you posted seems to be zoomed in a bit, as it's missing some picture from the sides that's on the 16:9 version, which may explain why the shots look tight.

That video is cropped because the file was co-opted from the catch-up service, and each archive item was automatically converted to 16x9 in order for the lower thirds to be added back in safe areas because the tapes were clean feeds.

From the first day of BBC1 daytime, the very first CBBC birthday card slot (and also, if I'm not mistaken, the first bit of CBBC to come from the pres studios rather than the broom cupboard).

As it's the first one there aren't actually that many cards and they spend most of it putting the set together, and it doesn't half look tatty when you see it being pulled together like that. The "special guests" idea didn't last long I don't think.

A full original episode of Not The Nine O'Clock News, this the third episode of Series 3 (never mind what the video title says) and on forum topic, this episode features the better known closedown gag but also the lesser spotted continuity spoof (see start of video):

(edited, actually series 3, not series 2)

NTNON episodes often seem to be mislabelled with the wrong series details on YouTube.

Incidentally there used to be a clip of a NTNON sketch online with Rowan mock-apologising to the audience, which was taken down a while ago and I can't find anymore. This episode guide says it was in series 2, episode 2 as "Rowan apologises to audience (Family murdered in bathroom)" but it seems it's only series 3 and 4 episodes that are largely online.
