Excellent, it just goes to show how much effort Yorkshire TV put into it, wasting a whole recording session that they couldn't broadcast, even down to the point of telling Richard that the champion couldn't make it

That's a fantastic clip, and it's great to see it in full. The countdowngoofs channel is one of the best for Countdown related stuff.
Another Noel's House Party clip, from Christmas 1993. The opening titles and spiel from Noel, followed by the results of the gunge vote between Piers Morgan and Rick Sky... and a great moment when Noel almost gets a bucket of gunge thrown at him.
