Personal favourite of the lot (this I may have mentioned before )
The Christmas set wasn't bad either, especially the firework ones. But the entire Carlton package was just absolutely beautiful. It looked great, it sounded great and it still looks good best part of 20 years later.

Totally agree, a wonderful package of idents with a brilliant concept using the heart and star, all eye catching, all tied together with variations of the same melody, all featuring a quick build up culminating in a wonderful logo slide with simple and gentle animation and lighter music design for continuity announcers to talk over. This ticks all the boxes for a brilliant campaign with a great amount of variations to suit most programmes and works well. How did we go from creations like these in 1999 to today's standard of presentation? Admittedly ITV's current presentation works well and has many variations, but across the board we've seen a greater number of channels and a massive decline in my opinion.

The enthusiastic TVam presenter is Georgey Spanswick, now the presenter of the BBC's national local radio evening programme

Georgie was also a reporter on the afternoon show on the early-90s National Cable station 'Wire TV - The Cable Network'. CNN's Femi Oke, and Kathryn Aponowicz also presented. Georgie mainly presented live OBs from around the country (they'd spend a week in each region) - the main studio was in a Bristol shopping centre I think.

These sort of strange things were appearing at the breakfast switchovers- even into the 00s!
(Note: if you pause the clip correctly you see a testcard from LWT at the switchover)
