One thing that's reminded me of there is the BBC went to using the 24 hour clock on weather when they went computerised- but for some reason went back to the 12 hour clock with the 2005 revamp (though that's far from the silliest thing about that relaunch), though it went back to 24 hours after a few months.

Some Central continuity from a Monday evening in 1998, just after Carlton had ditched the cake - with Wish You Were Here...? still occupying a prominent slot (although making Judith number 2 to Anthea was sacrilege), a Galaxy Swirls ad voiced by someone pretending to be Mystic Meg, a controversial yet classic Citroen ad, and one of Cadbury's wonderful Corrie sponsorship bumpers:

BTW, at the risk of getting in a lot of trouble here, why does "Courtney O'Sullivan" feel the need to say "This is from [day and date]" without having much evidence that the clip in question is indeed from that date?
I prefer the second Grange Hill theme tune to "Chicken Man". Does that make me weird?

I have had the same problem. Just makes up dates for the sake of it? I've had to help users with the correct date.

It takes all sorts on YouTube. Personally I'd say if they want to repeat the bleeding obvious in the comments, let them. With any luck it'll drop to the bottom of the "Top Comments" default view and stay there.

That being said, looking at the comments on a lot of videos its like looking at another world sometimes. Look at some of the comments on the videos with Mr Bean in them, a lot of people seem to have forgotten where reality ends and fiction begins. They seem to think he's real.
