Hi everyone,
I decided to make a thread for my presentation website that takes a look back at the ITV regions as well as covering the latest ITV presentation. The website "officially" launched yesterday but I was to busy to make a thread. Any questions or answers about the site can also go here or just click on the feedback tab on the websites homepage. The domain for Region Ark is www.regionark.net.tc . I will be adding content on a regular basis and updates will be covered in this thread. Please note that all of the content and information on this site is unofficial and not connected to ITV.

Thanks,

James

That isn't a good sign. Looking ok from my end so it may be something to do with your PC? I will have a look at the website settings anyway.

Thanks

It's OK, it's working now.

My initial opinions...

Arrow The archive images look like they've been ripped straight from YouTube, with black borders around the edge. Example
Arrow The logo you've created is FAR too big. Maybe consider trimming it down a bit.

The meridian page was uploaded first before I got the hang of cropping off the black bars and the header has to be that size as it is part of the website design and it would just leave the gap s a transparent png. I will re-upload the meridian idents soon in the right aspect ratio.

Never refer to things as "view the latest presentation here". Just do what Rob does and call it "coverage". It just sounds more professional and helps filter the 'its-just-another-website-about-TV-presentation' vibe. Oh and the top banner is too big (what with not having no activity inside it).

Just some ideas.

Quite clearly taken from Chie's youtube, and just to link to that image I had to stop it creating additional dialogues.

Just checked and I have permission from Chie to use his off air images. Oh well, I will have to re- screenshot them later and re-upload them to the site. All of the old regional material has been sourced with peoples permission so that is why there may be you tube channel DOGS or logos on the shots. All the peoples who have kindly donated footage are also listed via a link from the homepage. I wouldn't just rip peoples videos.

Thanks to everyone so far for all of the great tips to make the site better. I will take them on-board and change things accordingly when I update things.

Still busy with the content. Trying to remove the black bars from all of the images. Also changed the navigation to above the site. If you visit the ITV 1 section (in current output) that is how all of the channels content will eventually be displayed.

'Coverage' doesn't sound right, surely it's a word that refers to something that's current?
