I grew a beard in the time it took to load the site, and lost a stone waiting for the transition from portfolio to prices.Razz I'm sure there are things you could alter here and there to make it run faster? Other than that, good. But it's an online portfolio of your work, IMO you should design it however *you* feel it would be best to present your own work, and our comments on that shouldn't really matter.

The slide on the boxes should be faster.. Thank god you got a pre-loader now.

Thanks for all your postive (and negative!) views on my website. I've made a couple of alterations to the site. I've increased the speed at which the box slides out and have tried to increase the rate at which the site loads.

I am currently moving content across servers, so you may find that the site becomes a lot faster within the next few days or so.

Please feel free to continue expressing your views - and don't forget the guestbook!

Cheers,

Just to let everyone know - the website is much faster and the boxes also slide faster now too.

Please take a look and leave your comments on the guestbook (the link to the guestbook is on the contact page).

No comments? I am suprised! Someone can usually still manage to find something wrong with it! Laughing

Why does it take so long to load? I'm on broadband and it still takes a fair time longer to load than it should.

To me I'm seeing a basic site and images so I have no idea why it's taking so long to load - I'm taking a stab in the dark but are those images your using in a resolution of 300dpi? If so then that's why. 300dpi is recommended for print and to use 300dpi inches on the web is a waste of time because monitors can only display 72dpi.

Well to be honest it does take a while to load so little. I felt like I was waiting for a great gift from the gods to be delivered.... and then it loaded....
