Hi everyone. I would like to inform you about my new look website . . .

mwpresentations was set up in the June of last year by myself, a 17 year old student from the Midlands. I design logos, graphics, animations and websites and specialise in the use of flash animation. I have also recently created the opening title sequence for a student regional news programme filmed at BBC Bristol which I was very honoured to take part in. You can find out more information about this project on the website.

You may have visited my website before, but this post is just to let you know that it has today undergone a face lift, making it much more uder-friendly and it now loads much faster too.

There is now the opportunity to sign up to the mwpresetnations newsletter which is sent via e-mail every month to your address with latest news about the website and design projects that I am undertaking. You can find out more information about how to sign up for this newsletter on the website homepage.

Thanks for taking the time to read this. If you have any comments about my site, work, or would like to request me to do some design work for you, please let me know via the e-mail address on the website.

Thanks again,
Arrow g.dyke

PS : Look out here for exclusive mwpresentations competitons. The first one will appear here in February. You can also learn about these competitons by signing up the mwpresentations newsletter.

Your site is one of the reasons why the Transport font shouldn't be used as body text or anything on a small scale really. If it wasn't for that, it'd be very good.

OK, thanks for your advice. Does anyone have any other comments about my site? They are all gratefully received . . .

Thanks,

For me, it just screams of speed up your flash animation or ditch it altogether.

If there's one thing that most puts me off from viewing a site, it is being made to sit through intros or animations before the content appears, which is what happens in your case. Where's the skip animation link?

I don't want to sit and wait for lines to move around on screen to form the nav bar - I want to it just appear. But nice site all the same - I like the design and photo, but please, less of the animation.

And also do you have a 'sniffing' script whereby it checks for flash before loading the flash version but if it doesn't it goes to the HTML site - not every computer has flash and not everyone can install flash (esp. on school/college/work computers as they are usually locked down to hell and back unless you are an admin).

Hi Everyone.

Just to let you know that my website has been updated. After reading the comments above, as well as feedback I had been given elsewhere, I decided to re-vamp the site, making it more colourful, faster and there is now a 'skip intro' button for all you impatient people!

Anyway, please take another look and post your comments back here if you wish. Thanks again for all your comments (and criticisms!) so far!

I don't like sites that are just flash. You should have a html site as well.

One thing, have you legalised the use of that intro music? People DO check, so I'd make sure you're in the clear before using it. If you're not sure www.flashkit.com has a good selection of freeware music.
