over the last few months I have noticed that many threads are started and then end with just a few replies, many of those bitchy and niggly and then they are never seen again. The threads now are often dull which is why hardly anyone replies and the good ones are now ignored or ridiculed or criticised for "being posted in the wrong place". This is about TV Presentation and always used to be a good place to discuss idents, on screen graphics, seasonal scheduling, old programmes, new programmes and topics that most people would normally find interesting.

However what we get now is things like "What happened to Price Drop Tv today for 17 seconds" or "The Commercial Channel shows commercials." Come on guys, let's start discussing TV Pres again! I know there's not alot happening but can't we be more creative and make this forum interesting again. I notice that alot of people no longer regularly drop in and that's a shame!

There's a good "Christmas Telly" thread going on, and it is largely ignored. The thread was to attract ideas from people about their favourite Christmas TV memories for a TV programme. But a really interesting thread was ignored while a thread about CBBC is now going with 18 replies. Tomorrow that too will probably be on page two.

Sorry about this rant but can't we revitalise this forum and restore it to its former argumentative and wonderful TV pres debate forum.

I'm loving your poll. I can't decide whether to vote for option B, C or D. They seem so, erm, similar.

There is certainly mileage in the response that all the complaints about huge, generic threads have fuelled the numerous tiny threads with just two or three posts.

I'm tending not to look at a thread now, till it gets to its second page, as there are so many to plough through if you've been away for twenty-four hours.

These sorts of threads are always pointless.

You say that all threads started are not about TV Pres but just about rubbish, and end up causing rows and pointless posts.

Well, forgive me for pointing out the obvious, but isn't this post EXACTLY what you want to avoid?

But it just wouldn't be TV Forum without a thread like this every two or three months...
