What's got you riled up? I know it's not serious, it's just unfortunate. The advantages far outweigh the disadvantages.
The text is larger now, so adjust your sig, and quit complaining!

I love this so much!! Will take a few days getting used to but I love it already. Nice to see things like the regions and Profile Extra back too as I remember them from years ago but never really worked properly!
And yay, I have a Before January 2003 join date :p 2001 veterans all the way!

Ooh, very nice. Very swish.
Maybe I'm nitpicking, but I don't really like the new logo (the font, that is), and there's a few spacing bugs on the profile page. Aside from that, though... incredibly nice.
I've just noticed that the post editor automatically validates and corrects BBCode. Lovely. Bon travail, Asa.

Noticed a few problems with this forum, for one there seems to be some strange white bar through the semi-grey box on the main page. Also the small arrow on the calendar seems to look out of place there, a small white box with a arrow in it on a grey backing looks wrong.
The Grey/White error is most prominent on the Profile edit page, the corner graphic is meant to seamlessly intergrate with the rest of the box but it's on a grey background again.
I know it's a bit Nitpicky but still, fix that and I'll notice nothing wrong with the site

Why, because its a serif font? I like it.
A great job Asa - I think it was worth the extra time to get it looking great.
Super awesome, and better than I expected. Good job.
My one complaint is the font used in the logo. Hello, 1982!

As some other folks have expressed, my only little qualm with the design is the choice of font for the 'Forum' in the TVF logo. It doesn't look as contemporary. The previous sansserif version would fit in perfectly here, IMHO - not merely because it was sansserif, certainly not - rather, I feel it would compliment the rest of the new layout better.
However, with regards to everything else, it's just superb!
The new presentational additions are right on the money. The selection of little pres 'postcards' that decorate the top of the page is lovely - this, combined with the slideshow of stills in the bar on the homepage both create a much nicer visual experience, and also serve as a great way to 'signpost' to new visitors exactly what TVF is about. It's gained a lot more character.
I'm noticing improvements with the posting system which are very much welcome too. All in all, I think this new look is a success without a doubt; excellent work.
