And this is very unlikely but I'll ask anyway. Did anyone download images from the original 9/11 thread that they would be able to supply? In looking to get an archive back online it would be great to complete the thread with the original images.

Most of them were uploaded via a long forgotten TVF upload service to http://www.tvhome.f2s.com/ikonboard/upload/ The domain has long since disappeared and I've not been able to find a copy of the directory. Files and the original poster (poster possibly quoting someone else) are below. If anyone can help that would be great.

Sorry, Asa, I haven't got the one listed for me.

I don't believe that any of these were sourced from the thread that you mention, but I've dug out a bunch of images off my server that I've had since 2001, and which may be of use if you're just trying to put together an archive - perhaps one or two of these might match the ones that you're looking for, in case the original posters don't still have their original images.

Try putting the URL for the actual thread in to www.archive.org and see what pictures appear.

Nope, sorry.

I've noticed a few people commenting about this site redirecting to You Tube, I think there is a bug somewhere.

I think this is related to a trojan virus going about, whether its got the TVF server I'm not sure.

Asa - sorry for the delay with this. I've scoured the handful of data CDs I have that date from the 2001-2002 period (I found some really interesting video clips that I ought to upload to YouTube some time!) and I've sadly only been able to find three of the images that are attributed to me in your list:

Thanks for looking guys. It's such a shame I never kept a backup of the files uploaded, unsurprisingly the hosts didn't have a copy either.

As to the YouTube issue, as far as I know it's just standard embedding, same as many other sites. Has it been noticed on different machines/browsers too?

I'm on Windows 7 64-bit using Chrome - and I've had no problems on the threads mentioned.

archive.org isn't needed for the BBC images, which are still online even now (proof below). And it doesn't work for TV Forum. The version from October 2001 has a very bugged thread list (due to switching to a 2002 version apparently), and the threads themselves cannot be accessed. So you won't retrieve the pictures that way.
