Umm, I've just had to delete subscriptions from a lot of topics - some that were last posted to back in 2003 - as I'd exceeded the number of subscriptions allowed. Would it be possible to auto-unsubscribe from any topic over a set number of months old?
Also, is the auto-subscribe function switched off (this post will prove/disprove the query) - or do you have to manually subcribe when posting to a topic?

Isn't the point of the subscription feature so that you are alerted to a post in a thread you'd forgotten about?

Yes, but don't forget that previously (and it may well still be the case), topics over a certain age were archived and couldn't be posted to any more. Now there's no point in subscribing to them, is there?

Can we truncate the topic titles on the homepage to around 25 characters? The boxes look awful when stretched onto two lines as they often do. Then there could be a tooltip with the entire topic title.
EDIT: Ahhh, I can get on now, was also getting an invalid session thing.
Also, can't remember if I posted this or not, but on certain topics when I click on the green arrow icon thing to go to the unread posts in it, it will stay marked as unread.

Don't know if this has been mentioned already, but clicking on 'Top of Page' opens a new browser window because of the target tag.
