after people have replied to them or do you mean new ones without replies?
and as for files? where abouts do you mean then? on the metro upload page? there's already a delete option on there.
also I'm getting the new posts problem on firefox, as noted above, so its not a safari thing, and I seem to be able to edit posts again. perhaps there's a time limit that's set too short?

What about this feature: A user can delete threads (s)he started and files (s)he uploaded.

Me too! Is it a Safari thing?
It's not a Safari thing as I've experience this today on IE7, although could this possibly be as a result of a 'work in progress' to correct the read/unread thread problem?
Where does the new PM notification appear (not that I've had any), and I noticed that in the messages folder there is no indication when they are full anymore - is there no limit? Additionally, the 'saved' folder seems to have gone.
Other than that, the new site looks amazing.
I'm being taken back to the start of threads when I click the newest posts icon; even though I was reading the last page yesterday!

EDIT: Also, I just posted that and I was taken to the previous page when I pressed submit! Gosh, I'm such a perfectionist.

Yes, indeed it is on the right of the coloured bars. Very stylish!

However, the notification icon disappeared next time I visited the homepage, even though I hadn't read the messages from Jugalug or Hyma yet.
If I'd logged on and jumped straight to a thread without seeing it, then I would never know it was there as there doesn't appear to be a notification message by email about PMs anymore (has that gone from the UCP now?).
EDIT 1:
I see there is a different notification on the homepage, which does indeed remain as long as the PM is unread.

EDIT 2:
I also noticed that in the reply screen for PMs (in IE7) the emoticon options appear as:
