No, I can't edit either.

And fair enough, I can't argue with a screenshot! I should be above the separator though.

multiview only appears when signed in, you're not signed in at work hence the register option.

also, interesting factoid about the big header image, the posts actually start about 20px higher than they do on metropol, it's a bit of an optical illusion. try it in some tabs.

Aha, that'll be it. I knew there'd be an obvious answer

That doesn't mean that the space at the top of a Metropol page isn't a bit too much too!

The thing with TVF's is that it looks more wasteful because it has lots of empty space notably below the colour bars

Having trouble posting too, just wrote something, pressed submit and it failed so I had to start all over again

I never commented on whether either were too big or not, just said it was interesting Wink

Well this has been the first real opportunity to read though the thread since 'go live' as I've not had much chance since Saturday evening. Many thanks for all the comments, it's great to know it's been so well received.

Thanks too for pointing out areas which still need a little polishing, I hope to get as many of the bugs and issues out of the way over the next couple of evenings and will probably post a little more on specifics tomorrow.

(But just to get one out of the way, the edit post function should now be ok)

Thanks again!

Another issue I've noticed is there seems to be an issue with the /?view=newest#newest links from the little green arrows. It seems if you open the three main forums (tvh, news, websites) in tabs, then it only works properly for the first forum you open. Otherwisae you get the above appended to the url however are just taken to the first post of the thread.

A new problem - the information underneath any member's name (Post count, region, date joined, etc.) has been replaced by a full stop for me (Opera 10). IE is fine.

One thing I've just discovered - I go to a forum and it shows me the threads which have been updated since I last visited. But once I go into a thread and then return to the forum they're all down as read

I'm being taken back to the start of threads when I click the newest posts icon; even though I was reading the last page yesterday!

Me too! Is it a Safari thing?

Excellent work Asa. A great new look, and I love the new features - so pleased the update is more than just a cosmetic makeover. Well done.

Just a few things though...

First, in IE7 I seem to be getting the line from the bottom of posts clashing with posted images in some (but not all) posts, like this...

*

Also, and just a minor thing, I'd prefer the 'Remember Me' option on the homepage to appear by default as un-ticked. As I mainly browse TVF at work, I now have to uncheck the box every time I log in. Having it un-ticked as standard shouldn't inconvenience those who do want to be remembered, as in theory they should only have to click the box the once when they first log in.

As for the logo debate, the font is okay - given a choice I'd prefer the previous version, but it certainly doesn't offend me. However, the kerning could do with tightening a little between the 'F' and the 'o', like this...

Only a couple of pixels, but I think it just looks a bit happier like that. Very Happy
