An apology for what exactly?

'tv is now bbcnewsroom'... wow - it remains a holding page serving a minimal useful purpose does it not.

'the ad loading which is nothing to do with me at all' - no? at all?

The animation loads in a reasonable time, but slows down the PC even when cached. Stuff like pressing a key on the address bar and having to wait several seconds for it to appear.

If your response to this is to get a faster PC, my answer would be why should I when it seems your page is the only one that I've found that does screwing up for which it was not designed.

... 40,000 visitors, are these unique? Your site is certainly a wonderful piece of nothing. Holding pages mostly serve to p*ss people off. - Congratulations.

If your site is good enough it won't need any of this pre-publicity. Build a better mouse trap.

Yeah, not sure what Karl exactly has to apologise for.

He made a general comment about getting a site up and running before making people too publicly aware of it beforehand. The best publicity is feedback from people once you've established a site.

I don't see why you're taking a inoffensive comment about your site to heart. If I did that, I'd be a wreck Wink And when you say 40,000 people, that's not quite true now is it?! 40,000 impressions yes; 40,000 different IP addresses - possibly, but certainly not 40,000 individual people.

That flash animation does seem to jerk along very slowly - most other flash animations work fine, so it is probably just my old graphics card that can't cope!

Incidentally in case any visitors were wondering, TV Home and TV Forum are rarely tested on different browsers/OS's or screen sizes Smile
