UTV have now got themselves a section on their website for the newly launched uPlayer. The menu at the top takes its design from the ITV Player website:

Not only the menu, the actual videos for network shows is direct from itv.com. Just a shame the header of the page says UTV Media Player. Rolling Eyes

Now got the archive section working, good to see the two editions of "Second Sight" with Charlie Witherspoon added from 1984 - a shame it's been stretched and they cut off the pre-programme ident - but the end credits and Ulster Television Production caption are intact at the end Smile

(Here's hoping there will be a similar series later this year for the 50th...)

Meh...just a branding patch up, at least STV's encoding their own.

The 'Cars' link on the UTV website now links to the website of a new UTV company called UTV Drive. Hasn't fully launched until September but it seems they must be trying to launch something along the lines of Auto Trader with a magazine and website to accompany it. UTV Drive is part of UTV New Media.

Has that Julian learning to drive programme been on yet? I wonder if it will be "sponsored" by UTV Drive in a similar way to ITV1 programmes being sponsored by Friends Reunited...

The programme started on Monday night but no sign of any UTV Drive sponsorship, in fact it wasn't sponsored at all. I'm assuming we'll start to see some advertising for UTV Drive in the coming months in preparation for its official launch in September.
