MastWiki has closed (November 2013)

This site closed in March 2021 and is now a read-only archive

It's a separate site/name change.

Thread closed (as it's about ChannelWiki)...

So this unviable, spam-laden site has become viable again because you changed the name?

No, I decided it was wrong to change the name. The site was never 'spam-laden'.

Look, I apologize if I have caused offence. I really am and would like to fix what I did wrong. I dislike spamming strongly.

Why did the site close and then migrate to TV Live Wiki then?

MastWiki has now closed (for good), due to reasons previously stated (the site isn't viable etc.)

But it hasn't. And you just posted you wanted to keep it open...

I'm confused. So you closed ChannelWiki, but you actually just renamed it and moved it to a different address?

Basically, I decided to keep the site open (and change the name to MastWiki). Now, MastWiki is closing (I've decided to close the site).

All content will move to the TV Live Wiki (or can be exported via the 'Contact Us' form until December 20th).

Basically, I changed the site's name (was considering closing the site prior). Now the site has closed (for good).

The bit I really don't understand is how ChannelWiki was doing so well it was going to be relaunching and adding it's own forums, then the next day it was "unviable" and going to be shut down mid December. A few hours later it was then that unviable it was closed immediately, and permanently.

Then yesterday, MastWiki is spotted, with no mention about it's origins as ChannelWiki (just a ropey find/replace job), and you claim it was a relaunched, more viable version.

Then literally minutes later, it suffers the same fate as ChannelWiki - branded "unviable" and shut down "for good".

I don't really know what you're playing at, or what's going on, so I'm not going to pry, but if you want to run a respected website, and be a respected operator, then you need to have some conviction in what you're doing. You don't start site, start advertising them and then a few hours later pull the plug because it's "unviable". What the heck does "unviable" mean when it comes to a publicly edited wiki anyway?!

Really? 'ChannelWiki is now MastWiki hides a name change? All contributors etc. were also Emailed of the name change. I didn't pull the plug after a few hours either. I am reputable. The site has been online for a while. By unviable I mean numerous factors. I have taken the final decision to close the site. It's been on my mind for a while but I decided to close the site after the name change.

So it has been on my mind for a while (during the name change).

My god. Just keep them, and keep working at them. I, also, thought they were working well.
