Hi everyone.

Well I've accumulated quiet a bit of clips and pics that I've found on the internet about American TV presentation. I'm about to order my TV Card soon too so then I can start capturing the stuff off the TV (obviously).

Anyway, I need some help. First, I need to find a website were I can host my files and/or website. It doesn't seem like any of the main 'free' webhosting and designing (Geocities, Tripod etc) are allowing any of this alleged 'copyright' material. So I need to find a place. Suggestions?

And could anyone design me a logo for my future website?

Actually it seems to me that Geocities and Tripod aren't as against copyright materials as you thought (though it mighta say so in the terms of agreement). Many US TV sites I've been to, for example the popular TV News Themes, are hosted on Geocities. TV News Theme's had more than 300,000 hits, so it's obviously quite high-profile, yet Geocities hasn't taken any actions against the site. (Though some music composers already have.)

I've heard that NBCi took down a site that contained news opens from around the States for copyright reasons, but the guy later moved to Geocities and Tripod. But who cares about NBCi? They're gonna shut down the web host service anyway.

I've tried to put Real Videos on my Tripod server, but they didn't work. But that guy I mentioned above moved his videos to Tripod, and they seem to work just fine. And Tripod offers 50MB, versus Geocities's 15MB.

BTW what's gonna be on your site anyway? Are you focusing on the networks? (There're plenty of local sites out there already, though primarily focusing on news rather than presentation.)

I'll be mainly featuring News presentation.  I'm going to have a bunch on the News channels.  I'll have stuff on network news too and network presentation. I'm not having any local stuff (I can't stand it).

Is it possible for me to host my site on Geocities and then host the files on another site? I may use a pay site though, but I don't have a lot of money.
