Can someone please explain how, even with with 2000+ members, the most users ever online still is a measely 135?

Because there aren't really 2000 members due to the proliferation of multiple usernames...?

The trouble is people often register, never post and probably never visit and then come back and register all over again. It's not the first time TVF has reached 2000 members either IIRC. Because Asa had a clear out at one point. There were also the server problems a couple of years ago too and everyone had to register again.

Oh dear God! Could you imagine what would happen if 2000+ members tried to log on at the same time?

Poor phpBB struggles with 30-40 users, let alone 2000!

Well done! Mightly deserved!

As for the amount of users online thing. I have 300 members on my Tom Baker forum, and the most i've had online at one time is 21. To think that all the members would ever appear online at the same time is silly!
