TV Forum was the recommended alternative at the time of the announced closure, however, since then Steve and Ben came to the conclusion that a new forum was needed since this one is (allegedly) moderated so badly.

Ben's new forum looks good and will be moderated in the same fashion that the old TV Ark one was. Which is what made it the friendliest TV forum on the net.

So the cloak and dagger style of moderating shall continue unabated under the veil of "friendliness", wonderful.

Yes... Though a troll isn't exactly someone who points out clear problems with moderation with it being either biased or with a hidden agenda which is never made clear. Never mind, the clientelle don't seem to have a problem so it's their concern to take up really.

Moving aside.

Ninny - I think you are very much at home here.

Nah, Im sure David probably has better things to worry about in life than the pantomine of what to and what not to say on a forum.

I could have sworn Steve Hackett said that TV Forum is the replacement forum yet Stabby has said his is.

Assuming we are reading the right reply from Steve, he was merely recommending TV Forum as somewhere else to try.

Worrying, he does moderate right? Anyway, he can do better than Ninny, that's schoolboy stuff.

I think it's a shame that the TVArk has closed down early. I was on it for just over a year and I enjoyed it and made some good friends - it looks as if I will enjoy being on TVForum just as much. Very Happy

It went downhill since it returned the other month. Too many forums, too few members, lack of intelligent discussions (especially in off topic)

(although I may be biased as someone owes me a trade from there, and he's gone awol)

It was the best place to be the last few years though, for proper vintage pres discussion!
I agree that it did go downhill after the relaunch on Nov 8 but I felt that it just wasn't given the chance to let people get used to the new format. I know there were too many forums but they were all being used and there were some interesting threads being created (just like on the original forum.) TVForum on the other hand is a different kettle of fish - it's had plenty of time to establish itself and consequently has a lot more members. It looks as if I will enjoy my time on here! Razz
