TV Forum was the recommended alternative at the time of the announced closure, however, since then Steve and Ben came to the conclusion that a new forum was needed since this one is (allegedly) moderated so badly.
Ben's new forum looks good and will be moderated in the same fashion that the old TV Ark one was. Which is what made it the friendliest TV forum on the net.
Yes... Though a troll isn't exactly someone who points out clear problems with moderation with it being either biased or with a hidden agenda which is never made clear. Never mind, the clientelle don't seem to have a problem so it's their concern to take up really.
I think it's a shame that the TVArk has closed down early. I was on it for just over a year and I enjoyed it and made some good friends - it looks as if I will enjoy being on TVForum just as much.
It went downhill since it returned the other month. Too many forums, too few members, lack of intelligent discussions (especially in off topic)
(although I may be biased as someone owes me a trade from there, and he's gone awol)
It was the best place to be the last few years though, for proper vintage pres discussion!
I agree that it did go downhill after the relaunch on Nov 8 but I felt that it just wasn't given the chance to let people get used to the new format. I know there were too many forums but they were all being used and there were some interesting threads being created (just like on the original forum.) TVForum on the other hand is a different kettle of fish - it's had plenty of time to establish itself and consequently has a lot more members. It looks as if I will enjoy my time on here!
