TV Uploads

Hi everyone,

As most of you know, the MHP Private Parts has been broken for some time, and there's not much hope of it being repaired any time soon.

So, in an attempt to try and revive it, I've set up a site called TV Uploads, which aims to work in the same way as the old MHP site, but with a much more up to date design and layout.

You will need to register to view the site's content, and your account has to be activated manually (to avoid the likes of Messrs. Williams and Precious getting into the site.

Do take a look, and see what you think.

Just to give you a heads up its slightly different, ( you may need a couple of mins to get your head around it. I did) but the basic functions of Private Parts are in place, you can search for stuff, there is list of new content. and you can comment.

It also possible you could upload hidden Youtube clips, so only the member of the site can see it

And Google's copyright algorithms - they can see everything.

Yeah, don't think that because a video is set to private, it avoids getting blocked, as it doesn't work.

Anyway, I'm pleased with the initial response. There have been some real gems uploaded in the last 24 hours.

Though I like this new site, I think the user posts (currently hiding in Directory) was quite hard to find. It should be like PP and put somewhere on the home page (or in this case, the Dashboard)

I'm looking into making posts easier to find on the site. I'm in discussions with a friend who's helping me with the site in order to see what can be done.

I think its doing very well for being so new, but It will take time to get the word out and for people to come back, and for the content to grow. Its good that the first crop of people are making comments about the current start up process, makes it easier to revise stuff before to many people appear But we have to remember PP was created at least 17 years ago, and its a completely different world now. Half the stuff you can do now, would never have been possible, so I think its just a bit of cultural shock to people to see what PP can be like with some updates. Back at the start of the PP it was many general tv clips in real player ( remember that) and it took some time before it become what it was.

I managed to register and get online last night, and it's a great start!

Have you considered tags or hashtags to make clips easier to find? Granted it's not an issue at the moment but I'm thinking if there comes to be hundreds if not thousands of clips.

And even better it's mobile friendly!

Hashtags are in the list of improvements that I will be looking at. It's just finding the time to do them at the moment, because of other things.

I'm very pleased with the positive reaction this has had, and I hope that things continue that way.
