Without The TV Room, who will have better coverage of Sky channels, UKTV and Irish channels?

I did that already a couple of years ago, mainly sky, uktv and BBC stuff so stuff wont disappear.

I have quite a lot of the children's TV section downloaded.

Well moving the content is one thing, but it's another to have a proper archive of the site that introduced TV presentation to most people.

That's strange. It's been "excluded" from the Wayback Machine. Not the usual robots.txt block, just a generic message saying the url is excluded.

We have had four years warning of this. As soon as the updates stopped in August 2011 we should have all known this would happen one day. If you wanted to grab something but failed to do so, you've only yourself to blame.

The owner of the TV Room (Mike, I think his name is) pulls this stunt every once in a while. The last time was 2011, when he deleted the whole site (leading to that Metropol mirror) and then returned the site as an archive only. And that wasn't the first time he had done this. It seems that he tried to make a fan site run as a professional model and it didn't work out. But I don't know what's prompted it this time.
