When it gets redesigned? It still has the old logo.

That's because that's The TV Room Plus, not The TV Room.

I assume TTRP will get revamped in due course.

Think of this. It's like Fiver and Five USA keeping their old logos after 5 changed (twice, it happened when they changed to the FIVE logo as well), or like ITV1, 2 and 3 still having the old blue logo after ITV4 launched with the new ITV logo. Both were fixed within weeks or months, but IMHO shouldn't have happened at all. Sorry, but I'm sure corporate types would say that inconsistent branding is poor branding. Which is probably why the ITV regional branding was killed off... Sad

I think they mentioned there would be a delay between The TV Room and The TV Room Plus changing styles. Until then, we'll have to wait patiently - after all, we don't pay for the service and therefore shouldn't be so demanding.

See the door? It leads to the outside world. I suggest you walk through it. Open it first, though.....

[indignant]
Just who are you to talk down to the people behind The TV Room, one of the biggest, most extensive and well-run pres sites in the world?

Just another worthless post from another worthless member of an increasingly worthless forum

I am sure they would, but this isn't a corporate website. Do you know anything about website design? If you did you wouldn't make remarks like that. Websites take time to be built and considering the website is free and run by volunteers, I think they are doing a damn good job with The TV Room and The TV Room Plus.

The TV Room is closing.. A statement posted on their facebook page reads:

Quote:
After almost 12 years online, The TV Room has been updated for the final time. A site of this size requires time and money. Unfortunately, we have been unable to secure the financial backing/sponsorship required to make The TV Room the thriving and comprehensive resource we'd like it to be. What started off in 1999 as a hobby site rapidly grew into something considerably more demanding. Over a prolonged period, that level of commitment cannot be sustained for a not-for-profit project.

The TV Room has developed into something that needs to be operated as a business - that's the only way that it will ever see its full potential. Throughout its existence, the site has been produced by a very small team of volunteers, who have to work around various other commitments. It's been a labour of love if you like. However, over a prolonged period, this approach is not sustainable.

The site has faced closure before and small amounts of financial support have allowed us to limp along. However, more substantive financial investment is required.

A huge thank you to the many people that have visited the site over the years and to those who have contributed material - and apologies if we didn't manage to get your footage online.

So, that's it - that's all from The TV Room. Goodbye and thank you!

Well it's certainly a shame to see the site die and all that content go to waste, especially as it is one of the the final sites of its kind.

Metropol, therefore, would like to offer to purchase the site and its content which shall continue to be run and updated by the Metropol team. I presume a great deal of the content is stored on DVD and similar therefore this offer includes the postage of DVDs over to Metro HQ to allow for any new content to be uploaded / updated / converted to flash video.

Please name your price.

Many Thanks
The Metropol Team.
