Yes indeed; everyone wants something for nothing.

Sponsorship of some sort is required. It just isn't financially viable otherwise.

It is a pity really. This kind of resource is what the internet should be all about. With tens of thousands of visitors per month, you'd think I was doing something worthwhile. However, it all comes back to my opening statement - people want something for nothing.

Quick suggestion regarding hosts...

...For $9.99 per month (about £6) their 'unlimted hosting' plan gives 20Gb webspace and unmetered monthly bandwidth. Ok so they are US priced, however I know of atleast one person in UK who uses them without problems, and this might be more cost effective for hosting.

Get some Adsense ads on there, they do pay and they don't have to have a detrimental effect on the look and feel of your site.

The only option, other than sponsership or lots of adverts, is to cut back/restrict the amount of content, and Mike has made it clear he doesn't want to do that. I will of course be happy to help you Mike...
