Using serif draw free, I've managed to create the magazine which will be published this Tuesday. Obviously design wise it won't be top notch, but I hope, along with the people who have worked on it with me, that it does the job that it intends to. A preview of the front page is on the site now http://thetvmag.co.uk

Shaun, if you're serious about this, surely design would be a big part of the website.
"does the job that it intends to"
is hardly going to attract visitors or much purpose given the competition out there.
I like your idea but I can't see much from it without thorough design... I'm out.
the magazine is finally up and to be honest its hard work when there is only a few people on board to help, then some don't even bother getting back to you stuff they said they would, but I've tried and always room to improve.
So in the space of a couple of weeks you're gonna go from trying to get people on board to giving up so easily?
Perhaps the way forward would be to put some time into it, writing articles that are interesting to read but not necessarily topical to this weeks telly? If you advertise for people to write articles for it as and when they can you'll probably get more material coming your way. Most magazines would have a deadline but I think you would be better to 'publish' it when you think it is ready to go.
All in all it seems rushed and half-arsed and if you're gonna give up so easily that proves a point but if you put more time and effort into it you could have something you're proud of.
