It's been one week since the wiki was launched, and it's been absolutely incredible. Since we began, we've added 184 pages of content, with 15,844 page views. Thanks for supporting the wiki, and keep contributing!

Right, I'm taking a big risk with this, but I'm allowing discussion on rotas. There are three separate talk pages, one for BBC, ITV, and Sky. It's strongly advised that users read the guidelines before posting comments on these pages.

Due to the increased spamming attacks in the last few days, all members of the wiki will have to verify their e-mail address before editing the site. This is done by going to the Special:Preferences page and following the instructions on the User Profile tab.

Thank you.

The Wiki site now has a new address - tvlivewiki.co.uk - the old address is still use for the time being...

Due to an increase in spammers, I've had to make further changes to the way users register on the wiki. Direct registration on the wiki has been disabled, and now users have to register via this page. at the main TV Live website. Account approval will happen as quickly as we can, but it's important you register with a valid e-mail address, as login details will be sent to you.

It was getting ridiculous. New spammers joining every hour. Rob seems to have been quick on the ban button though!

Couldn't you do something like add some questions to the sign up form that only pres-interested people will know the answer to? Like "what year did the [B][B][C] blocks launch?", "name one of the non-itv itv companies", "which of the following is a Nambie-Lairn design?" or "what's better, balloons or dancers?"

That works on the assumption the spammers aren't pres fans.

I would assume the majority of them are bots targetting installations of the Mediawiki software.

A number of pages are at this point of time going through an overhaul process which will result in making improvement to the pages. This will inclued some rewrite and added in new sources etc to make them different from Wiki pages, It seem the normal wiki are also full " Lacking of proper information", "Sources: which can be found, not as hard as it seems, plenty on net, and why do people FORGET Online newspapers!!" and mistake with dates of pres, which are all being corrected.

Hopeful the pages will be a lot better than wiki, but remember it will take time, of course you can become a member and help out Wink

First page getting this treatment is Yorkshire TV, and still needs a few other bits and bobs but its got more new details and sources,

To be honest STV, Grampian, Nighttime were already at a high standard to begin with, but new sources are/will be added in to the first two. Night time is near impossible for sources but as everyone on hear as seen my research etc and Interview with tv staff member all should know that is its correct

Been over Central today, pretty much reworded the Pres paragraph and added some facts.
