I've started to notice that some of the pages on the main http://www.tvlivenews.co.uk are not up todate, and the new wiki pages are going to show them up for being wrong. I just wish to highlight this, hopeful some minor change can be made.

Explain further, I don't understand...

One eg as follow
I Have putting in and updating details of the Grampian page: http://www.tvlivenews.co.uk/wiki/index.php?title=Grampian_Television

But if you look at the http://tv-live.org.uk/wp/index.php/itv/regions/grampian/idents the dates don't match up and is also missing one or two from the early 1980s;

There are few other page like this but minor updates and changes are all that a neeede.

Oh, that's a matter for the main TV Live website, they can easily be sorted when I get around to it.

Can I please ask that if you are contributing to the wiki, please check spelling and grammar before you publish your edits. I don't expect to have to trawl through hundreds of edits having to correct this. Also, the references set-up is now working, so please use it where necessary.

We're making good progress though, we now have 86 articles on the site for you to look through.

For anyone interested here is some of the page I have been working on as you can see there is more press. Some addition work will be needed: hyperlinks, minor details etc..

* http://www.tvlivenews.co.uk/wiki/index.php?title=Challenge
* http://www.tvlivenews.co.uk/wiki/index.php?title=ITV_night_time
* http://www.tvlivenews.co.uk/wiki/index.php?title=Scotland_Today
* http://www.tvlivenews.co.uk/wiki/index.php?title=Grampian_Television
* http://www.tvlivenews.co.uk/wiki/index.php?title=North_Tonight With Correct Details about Grampian today, very strange that wiki has that wrong.

Do we want details about Theme muisc used as I do know the composer and library piece used for Grampian news, and also Granada news aswell from 1980s - 2000!

We already have 24 members and 15 active members, with 1,630 edits and counting since the wiki was set up. I've been mostly dealing with making sure there are as little uncategorised files or pages as possible. If we can do this much in four days, imagine what the wiki could be like in four months! Surprised

Thanks to everyone who has contributed!

If you can back it up with references, then please feel free to add it.

Like Phil has said already, a massive thank you to everyone who has contributed to the wiki so far. In just 5 days, we've got 119 articles, and there are loads more to come!

Ah REF? Um that going to be a bit hard, Grampain used a lot of Library music and I also spoken to some of the composers of the other two piece and Granada one so... its going to be a bit hard.

Rob. I have been copying across material from wikipedia. (User name: Uvghifds). I did try to copy and recreate the BBC News template we use on wiki, but it doesn't seem to work with this wiki's formatting. Is there a way to do this that I am missing? Smile

Info box Person from wiki is also not set up on this wiki. Do you know how to do that - because I can't find how.

I can't do anything at the moment, as I'm away now until Sunday, but I'm sure someone else will look into it. Thanks for your contributions though!

Was discussing this Wiki with 623058 the other day, and offered to help check his entries for English mistakes that might hopefully avoid the need for corrections by others.

I unknowingly contributed a piece of pres here: one of the stills featured in the ITV Night Time entry. I didn't add it myself, I had passed it on - but I'm told it fills a blank in an era which other pres resources have missed. If it helps, then that's great.

Thanks for that, Paul. I would hope contributors would credit their sources/seek permission where possible so we can be sure we're not unwittingly partaking in cwilliams-standard snatchery.

Regrettably, I haven't been able to be of much use to this project thus far owing to other things going on (mainly flu at present) but I've been *amazed* by the level of effort and commitment that has gone into the Wiki so far. So, yeah, thanks!

I'm not been great a putting in full details about said pic. I shall try to double check all pic and put in full details. As I said a number of page which I helped create were copy over but it seems even when people were checking the originals on wiki there still somehow mist a number of grammes as well. ( at least its only minor one)

Biggest problem with night time is ref for date , there are yt video that help but most come out of umpteen newspapers.
